Private Residential Remodelling and Extension

This project involved the comprehensive remodelling and extension of an existing detached dwelling within the established residential setting of Hutton Mount.

The proposals were carefully developed to rationalise the internal layout, introduce a clearly defined entrance sequence, and significantly enhance the relationship between the house and its garden. A new rear extension and roof alterations were designed to sit comfortably within the proportions of the original building, while a detached garage and garden room were introduced to provide flexible ancillary accommodation without over-development of the plot.

The scheme required sensitive negotiation through the planning process, responding to detailed design, scale and amenity considerations. Through iterative refinement, the final approved design was found to preserve the character of the area while delivering a substantial upgrade to the functionality and quality of the home

The project has now been completed on site, delivering a cohesive, well-balanced family home that feels both contemporary and firmly rooted in its setting.
