Private Residential Redevelopment

Architectural and planning services were provided to deliver the redevelopment of a prominent residential plot in Leigh-on-Sea, resulting in a substantial yet carefully composed family home.

The design replaces the existing dwelling with a new house that responds to the established suburban character of the street, drawing on traditional proportions, pitched roof forms and articulated façades to create a calm and balanced frontage. Particular emphasis was placed on achieving a strong relationship with neighbouring properties while allowing the new home to read as a cohesive, contemporary interpretation of its context.

Internally, the layout was developed to provide generous family accommodation with clear separation between living, working and private spaces, alongside strong connections to the garden and outdoor amenity areas. The arrangement supports modern patterns of living while maintaining a clear hierarchy of spaces.

The project was progressed through planning and into technical design, with careful attention given to detailing, buildability and long-term durability. The completed scheme delivers a refined private residence that enhances the character of the street while providing high-quality, flexible accommodation for its occupants.
