Elsenham, Essex
Planning and architectural services were provided to deliver this scheme of five detached dwellings within a sensitive rural village setting, adjoining a heritage asset and outside defined development limits.

The design was carefully developed to achieve a low-density, bungalow-scale arrangement, with particular emphasis on proportion, internal spatial quality and buildability. The layout responds to the site’s edge-of-settlement character, using a calm cul-de-sac form and landscape structure to contain development and minimise its visual impact.

Targeted design refinements were progressed through the planning process to ensure the scheme was both policy-compliant and deliverable, followed by the discharge of planning conditions and preparation of the full construction drawing package.

The development is now under construction, delivering a well-considered residential environment that sits comfortably within its rural and heritage-adjacent context.
